SKIN FIRMING AND REDUCING APPEARANCE OF SKIN LINES WITH
HERBAL FORMULATIONS
Over the centuries, the efficacy of several natural
ingredients has been recognized in treating the scars or spots on skin. In a
recent paper in ‘Dermatology and Therapy’ journal, it has been confirmed that
the herbal formulations can treat surgical scars more effectively.
According to the paper, many medical products have been used in preventing hypertrophic
scarring of skin, but an optimal treatment method has not been established yet.
However, while testing a herbal gel recently, experts found demonstrative
effect of the potential of herbs in scar prevention. After experimenting with
selected patients who had undergone symmetric surgical procedures, herbal gel
was applied on their scars for 12 weeks which were routinely photographed and
studied. The results showed improvement in color, stiffness or firmness of the
skin, and no side effects were detected. The herbal formulation was thus found effective
in preventing scarring of the surgical area.

matter of fact, use of natural ingredients has produced far more effective and
safe results on the skin than most of the chemical-based products. In skin care,

humectants which promote water retention by skin by attracting and binding
water to it. Vegetable glycerin is a humectant made from combining water and
vegetable oil. Soliga Forest Honey is also used as a light humectant and
nutrient used as a thickening agent.
