SKIN CELL REGENERATION TAKES PLACE AT EPIDERMIS LAYER, NOT AT TOP LAYER

In the increasingly competitive world of marketing campaigns, especially for beauty products, high sounding scientific or medical terms are being used in order to influence customer views.

At Herbally Radiant, we have seen several 'studies' or 'research' reports which create the impression in the mind of many consumers that it is possible with some 'newly' experimented chemical ingredients to create a changeover of skin. The effectiveness of such ingredients is debatable, but Herbally Radiant would like to create right awareness among the consumers about the regeneration process of the skin cells.

Skin, the largest organ of our body, keeps getting rid of old skin cells every day. These start off kind of fat and square. Over time, they move to the top part of the skin (dermis), flattening out as they go. when they get to the top, they flake off,  allowing new cells to surface at the epidermis layer.

Our skin is made primarily of the protein collagen which is produced by cells known as fibroblasts. the skin consists of two main layers, dermis and epidermis.  As explained above, regeneration occurs only at epidermis layer. the neurons in the cerebral cortex are never replaced.

There are no neurons added to our cerebral cortex after birth.

Having tested with a variety of ingredients, Herbally Radiant R&D team concluded that it's the essential oils which have accelerating effect on the epidermal regeneration process by improving skin hydration and elasticity and reducing the appearance of over-pigmentation and skin inflammation.

The cellular renewal process begins to slow down in aging skin. The essential oils and natural ingredients, that are used by Herbally Radiant in its top of the range formulations, start the process of epidermis renewal from basal layer to stratum corneum.  the epidermis is rebuilt from within, and the skin barrier is restored.

CVC DECISION TO REMOVE HARMFUL INGREDIENTS FROM SKINCARE PRODUCTS

Following closely the healthy trend of more and more retailers, CVC has also announced its decision to remove the chemical ingredients from its skincare and cosmetic products in order to provide its customers with safe and efficacious products which do not have potentially health risk. Among these ingredients are: parabens, phthalates and other most prevalent formaldehyde donors.

Other retailers like Target and Wholefood have already announced their decision to phase out harsh chemical ingredients from their skincare products. The CVC policy change will affect nearly 600 personal care and cosmetic products by the end of 2019.

Herbally Radiant welcomes the decision of the CVC which aims at providing healthy choice to the consumers. This should also be ollowed by other players in the beauty industry.

SLEEPLESSNESS, GRAVE CONCERN TO BUSINESS WORLD, ALSO ADVERSELY IMPACTS ON SKIN

Penelope Green has highlighted the importance of sleep to relieve stress and enhance productivity and efficiency. Writing in New York Times, he explains how countless studies have shown that bad sleep weakens the immune system, impairs learning and memory, contributes to depression and other mood and mental disorders, as well as obesity, diabetes, cancer and an early death.

The Federal CDC calls sleeplessness a public health concern. Good sleep helps brain plasticity, studies in mice have shown; poor sleep will make you fat and sad, and then will kill you. It is also expensive: According to the RAND Corporation study calculated the business loss of poor sleep in the United States at $411 billion.

“Sleep is the single most effective thing you can do to reset your brain and body,” Dr. Walker of U.C. Berkeley said. “We have a saying in medicine: What gets measured, gets managed.” Sleep is personal, it’s class, not mass, and now the sleep industry is based on technical services, customized for me. It’s a bizarre marriage of high tech and low tech. Chamomile tea is going to have a resurgence, as the antithesis to the whole pharma thing.” (Herbally Radiant uses Chamomile tea extract in its beauty formulations.)

Penelope tells that George W. Bush, formerly a sleep outlier among his presidential peers for clocking in around nine hours of nightly shut-eye, along with a daily nap, is newly popular. The Army has also proclaimed that sleep is a pillar of peak soldier performance, and Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, who used to take a sleeping bag to work when he was a lowly computer programmer, admits that his eight hours of sleep each night were good for his stockholders.  Aetna, the health care company, is paying its workers up to $500 a year if they can prove they have slept for seven hours or more for 20 days in a row. Other corporate bodies are also encouraging sleep inducing programs.

Apart from the health perspective, Herbally Radiant promotes stress management with the help of aromatherapy which is integral to the Essential Oils that it uses in its natural skin care formulations. Those seeking anti-aging natural formulations have to keep it in mind that sleeplessness or inadequate sleep tells on the mood and facial features. The stress due to sleeplessness adversely affects the skin, its elasticity, and vitality. Herbally Radiant, therefore, recommends abstaining from stimulants before going to bed.

The blend of  Essential Oils that are used in the natural ingredients of Herbally Radiant products creates a soothing effect on mind and nerves which in turn help in revitalizing the skin.

BEAUTY FOLLOWS BALANCED DIET

Kristine Kirkpatrick, MS, RD, makes a good point when she says that we live in a world where nutrition advice is merely a click away. Not all of it is sound or evidence-based, though. As a dietitian, she see this all the time with my patients whose diets reflect great intentions and motivation to improve health — but from misguided sources.
At Herbally Radiant, we advise customers to ensure balanced diet in order to maintain healthy skin and enhance beauty, which means reducing junk diet, or highly processed food and applying formulations that are full of harsh chemical ingredients.
It is useful to learn what Kristine describes as few popular myths :
1. To lose weight, just eat tons of protein.
Moderate amounts of fat and protein are better than the animal-heavy approach that may pose bigger problems. Protein sources like beans and peas are better options. Therefore, balance your protein intake.
2. If you want to get all the nutrients from your food, it has to be raw.
Although the raw movement is big, it is not always the best way to achieve bioavailability and disease-fighting capability. In fact, several foods are better absorbed when they are steamed, or cooked.
3. Coconut oil is the miracle food we all need.
Benefits of coconut oil seem to have been exaggerated for its impact on health. There is no need to avoid it entirely, but also look at the benefits of olive oil, nuts, seeds and the fatty fish
4. It’s important to "cleanse" or "detox" at least once a month.
One should remember that the liver in the human body is the most effective detoxing system. But it prefers nutrient-dense foods, avoidance of sugar and a healthy weight.
5. The most important meal of the day is breakfast.
This has been a popular myth which has not been supported by several studies. Experts,s therefore, suggest that quality of their meal is more important than the timing. Body demands food when it is hungry.

HOW ESSENTIAL OILS ARE BEST CURE FOR 'BRAIN FOG'

Experts are now talking of ‘brain fog’ a buzzy term. Numerous medical experts debate the root cause but often agree that it's a side effect of lifestyle choices. Food allergies, nutritional deficiencies, stress, inflammation, and lack of sleep and exercise can contribute to depleted energy and declining mental acuity. In fact, recent neuroscience research shows that many suffering from brain fog report having chronic fatigue, gluten intolerance, fibromyalgia, or neuropsychiatric disorders.
It is being realized by more experts that while brain fog triggers vary greatly among people, certain aromas can energetically inspire shifts in attention and dissolve the mind's murky haze. In fact, research slants toward essential oils having the power to increase alertness and sharpen mental faculties. Lavender inhalation has been shown to improve mathematical computation speed, and it also improves work performance when inhaled during breaks.
Essential Oils (EOs) are of immense value in enhancing beauty and in anti-aging formulations. These are the concentrated volatile aroma compounds found in plant materials, and also play a role in the hormonal cycle of plants as well as being components of a  plant’s immune system.
EOs are also the  building blocks of the practice of aromatherapy. These are well documented to relieve stress and act as mood balancer. Perfumery and aromatherapy are two significant branches, the combination of the two results in a great fusion of art and health science.
Fragrance in beauty formulations incredibly influences the body and mind. Since females have stronger sense of smell than males, women’s beauty products become exceedingly powerful with right kind of EOs.
Aromatherapy is not a curative process by itself, but it is very useful in symptom control in the case of physical conditions and is very effective in helping to manage emotional conditions. When our brain can’t experience the world, it tales help of senses to “tell” it what’s going on. The brain receives information from nerves and sensory organs. The olfactory nerve connects to the thalamus (which acts as kind of a filter, only sending on some input) and is the only one of the senses that connects directly to the cerebral cortex.
Out of more than 90 Essential Oils (EOs), Herbally Radiant uses most effective EOs to enhance natural beauty. This procedure is meant to assist natural ability of skin to balance, regulate, heal and restore its natural glow. These penetrate skin via hair follicles and sweat glands, and get absorbed in body fluids. Minute molecules of EOs are immediately absorbed into the blood stream when inhaled as the drugs oxygenate the blood.

RESEARCH STUDIES SHOW DOUBLE DIGIT GROWTH IN NATURALS MARKET

Every reputed market research group is pointing out to steady growth of natural personal care products. The Transparency Market Research has estimated that the market for organic personal care products is likely to reach $ 13.2 billion by next year, recording CAGR growth rate of 9.6%.
The latest study by Ecovia  is more hopeful of double digit growth for many years, and expects this market to reach $ 25.1 billion by 2025.
Globally speaking there has been steady growth in recent years due to increasing awareness among customers about the health benefits of natural elements, potential health risks from the use of harsh chemical ingredients in their personal care products and, in the case of US, rising approvals from USFDA and Dept of Agriculture for more natural ingredients in the personal care formulations is expected to fuel this growth.
More consumers are also showing awareness of the sustainability and eco-friendly aspect of environment. They now prefer products which are developed along sustainable and ethical lines, products that are free from synthetic elements or harsher chemicals.
In addition, widening distribution channels and new product development are the other factors that contribute to the market growth. However, limited shelf life, raw material supply and a stringent regulatory scenario are expected to be key challenges to market growth over the next five years.
Promoting greater awareness among consumers for the skin-friendly formulations, HerballyRadiant uses only USDA certified organic ingredients. Their effects is amazing, especially in anti-aging formulations. Unlike petroleum or chemical-based ingredients which pose several risks to skin and overall health, the certified organic ingredients in Herbally Radiant’s products have proven to be safer and more effective. All the ingredients are displayed on the labels to help consumers make better informed choice than following the aggressive, and, at times, misleading  claims which are not verifiable.

UNDER EYE AREA CREAM

When the skin begins to show signs of maturity, the area under the eye is the changes the texture. This area is more prone to formation of early wrinkles. Therefore, taking care of this delicate area should be of equal importance in the daily beauty regimen.

The skin under the eye area is different from the skin on other parts of face. It's very delicate and sensitive.  It has no sweat glands and needs extra care.

The black circles or aging signs in this area could be due to sun exposure, dry skin, rubbing, gugging and pulling, or applying creams or lotion which does not have right kind of ingredients.

At Herbally Radiant we are constantly testing the natural ingredients that create special moisturizing lotion to keep under the eye area bright and smooth.  Many players joining the lucrative under-the-eye area formulations market, are mostly luring customers with aggressive marketing claims like Tripple Correction Eye Serum, Bio Restorative Eye Cream, Under Eye Repair Cream, Retinol Correxion Sensitive Eye Cream, Age Defense Eye  Cream, Retinoid Eye Repoairer Cream and many other unverifiable claims. Not surprisingly, most of these products do not show ingredients on their labels, leaving the customer uninformed.

After testing with a variety of natural USDA certified ingredients, Herbally Radiant launched its Eye Cream four years back and over these years, several customers have shifted to it for its visible effect. For customers' information, the key ingredients are listed on the label. For example, it's aloe based with jojoba and lavender extracts, evening primrose, calendula and rooibos tea extract and vitamin E, besides other rich nutrients.

We do not advise customers to go in for any harsh or strong ingredient as formulations with such powerful elements could speed up formation of lines and wrinkles under the delicate eye area.
