WILL REVLON AND OTHER BRANDS REMOVE TOXIC INGREDIENTS?ecedent?

Another piece in online journal CosmeticDesign.com, highlights the activities aimed at getting rid of harmful chemical toxins from the beauty products of well known brands like Revlon and L'Oreal.

The Environmental Working Group (EWG) has been active in initiating public pressure on brand companies for removing harmful toxins from cosmetics and personal care products. EWG asked Revlon and L'Oreal to remove specific toxic ingredients like DMDM Hydantoin, Quaternium, Butyparaben, Isobutyparaben and Propylparaben from their products.

Due to growing public pressure, many companies are understood to be working on different formulations.  However, it is possible that the new products so reformulated might contain different potentially harmful chemical ingredients, for which pressure groups like EWG and consumers will need to be watchful.

At the same time, as manufacturer of herbal organic beauty products, HERBALLY RADIANT has not come across any incident where natural beauty products were questioned for any health risk.  We have, therefore, been advising consumers to shift to natural cosmetics, which are more effective, safe and good for skin's health - as their use over centuries would confirm.
