BENTONITE AND KAOLIN CLAYS MAKE BEST NATURAL FACIAL MASK

Recent trend in beauty industry is rediscovering the natural minerals in clays that help restore glow of skin, revitalizing it and enhancing beauty. The industry survey …
Several beauty care companies have begun to launch new facial masks, the demand for which is growing substantially in Asia Pacific and North American region. However, the chemical masks being offered to consumers are basically high performance titanium dioxide dispersions. This is basically the key ingredient in various sun protection lotions.  The emulsifying agent being used in these products is called olivem LV Flex.
The R&D team at Herbally Radiant has found such ingredients not very skin friendly. Over long use, these strong ingredients, along with other synthetic additives, can cause early appearance of skin aging, and remove the protective layer from dermis.
After testing with other skin-friendly natural ingredients, Herbally Radiant team discovered amazing effect of certain minerals in organic facial masks.  The minerals in clays have the ability to absorb excess oils, dirt and harmful toxins from the skin. Clays can be used mainly in facials, body powders, lotions, creams and bath salts.
Different clays have varying mineral contents, and each clay type has a different effect on the skin. The high mineral content of clay rejuvenates the skin while the clay exfoliates and stimulates blood circulation to the skin. Regular use of clay facials will remove dead skin cells, improve circulation to the skin, remove debris from the pores and bring about a smooth healthy glow. The minerals in clays have the ability to absorb toxins from the skin but they differ in their level of absorption.
Some of the clays found uniquely beneficial for use on skin are : Kaolin clay and Bentonite clay. The mild kaolin clay, also known as White Clay, is best suited to dry and normal skin as it is tinted with iron oxides that gently cleanse and exfoliate the skin while improving the circulation, giving it a beautiful pink color. It does not draw oils from the skin and can be used on dry skin types.
Bentonite clay is formed from volcanic ash sediments and is also known as Montmorillonite. It has more than 70 trace minerals. While the clay has been used to treat mineral deficiencies, Bentonite clay is also used to treat numerous skin afflictions. In facial mask, it removes dirt and impurities from the skin while as an internal supplement, it removes toxins and heavy metals from the body, and has many additional health benefits.
Herbally Radiant experts are therefore promoting use of clay in face masks  because of extremely therapeutic effect of certain minerals on skin.  These minerals are not found in pharma-based products or plant-based organic ingredients.
In its most popular Turmeric and Clay Mask ($ 23.90, shipping free), Herbally Radiant has used kaolin and bentonite clay which are the most powerful minerals to brighten up epidermis. To derive added benefit, turmeric powder has also been mixed in it that makes it unique facial mask.
