With the support of the Humane Society of US, a bipartisan
bill has been introduced in the US Congress to finally ban the testing of
cosmetics and personal care products on animals. More than 30 countries, including Israel,
have already such legislation in place.
It is a long pending demand from Humane Society and animal
lover activists which will forbid animal testing in any laboratory for cosmetic
ingredient or finished product. It has
been widely accepted that it makes poor scientific sense because these animal
tests have never been proven reliable for human safety.
